Learned from a business perspective the advantages and disadvantages of being self-employed. Lead the completion of 6+ websites, including research, design, and implementation of: information architecture, HTML/CSS, accessibility, usability, Search Engine Optimization. Strong emphasis on clean, pragmatic web solutions using W3C compliant code. Each site tested on over 54 browser/platform configurations. Attended Rails Conf 2006 in Chicago, IL and practiced on small RoR applications in following months.

Involved with 11+ websites from concept to delivered product. Work included proposals, contracts, comps, client meetings, design, HTML/CSS coding, Search Engine Optimization, and Adobe Flash. Introduction to 3D modeling and animation.

The Vermont Country Store

Plenteous product research, color and image correcting using Adobe Photoshop, and catalog layout in QuarkXPress. Emphasis on typography, grid, and print specifications. Experience with Macintosh platform and general business atmosphere and practices.
