How frustrating! I'm sorry this happened. Not only is it terrible when thieves steal your cell phone, but now they steal websites! Though, it is good that your thieves are not very bright. You found out their handiwork. I'm sure there are many different things we as designers can do to paste our name and copyright all over our work without obstructing the design of the site - namely in the code. That's exactly how they treat their paying customers too! I recently redesigned a client site that was hosted with GoDaddy. All my inqueries to support received boilerplate responses. Beyond that, GoDaddy has a toll free number, but doesn't even list it on their own site! How sneaky/cheap. I've read countless reviews on GoDaddy and the general consensus is that their services are total crap. I’m not at all surprised GoDaddy replied in that fashion.
