Mozilla made 72 Million? Maybe not.

Filed under: Web — Adrian @ 12:23 pm

Interesting Technoogle post I’m sure many people read via Digg, claiming Mozilla made $72million last year.

“The money comes from the Google Search box on the top right, when you search using that box and you click on Google ads on the results page Firefox gets about 80%.”

However, not all agree. Here’s what a board member of the Mozilla Corporation had to say: Christopher Blizzard.

And most recently, Mozilla’s tax form, stating $5million, not 72 (pdf ahead): Tax Form.

Profit or not, I cringe at the thought of being FireFoxless and still using IE.
