Where to start? I’ve yet to add a post dedicated to my summer and all that includes, partially because of time and also, not all of it has sunken in yet. I do miss the daily learning, which is odd to say as I’m going on a month back to school now, but dealing with actual business tasks proved much more satisfying than recent weeks. On the other hand, it’s nice walking a minute and thirty seconds to class, instead of driving an hour and thirty minutes to the seacoast.
That’s school. Any fool paying tuition to study what you could probably learn from Google can explain what college is like; let’s pretend for today I’m not one of those fools. I’m on fall break right now, spending time with my favorite girl in a less favorite state. Her parents are great and like a reunion of best friends, it’s a whole lot of story telling and usually a discussion over the dad’s latest toys, this time being paintball guns. Kath and I also visited my parents and got to see progress on the cabin before heading south; nothing better than seeing family with a loving pup by your side (Sherri, the dog, not my girlfriend), all within a house built by hand.
Lastly, and by far the greatest news of all, I nabbed a sweet deluxe battle sword at iParty, part of my Achilles costume in production. It’s also serving well as a hat rack, door slammer, and pedestrian striker.
